Club Xcite offers a variety of unique summer enrichment and skill-building programs in San Diego for public & private schools.

Brain Blast: Let’s Build! (Rising K-2n​d​, 3r​ d​-5t​ h ​& 6t​h​-8t​h​)

Design, Build and Grow! Join Xcite Enrichment for a hands-on skill building enrichment program encouraging the development of executive functioning and building skills. Each day, students will work on various building projects and kits as they explore a topic that expand their knowledge about the skills that go into being a positive and successful leader in the 21st century. Executive functioning skills are the basis for planning, organizing, and following through with all tasks, assignments, and problems inside and out of school, and we use our engaging projects as a way for students to apply and generalize their newly acquired executive function knowledge. With Xcite’s 6 to 1 student to instructor ratio, students will receive hands-on personalized attention while learning and building throughout each day. Skills and projects include but are not limited to:

Energy, Force, & Experiments! Join Xcite Enrichment for a hands-on skill building enrichment program encouraging the development of executive functioning and building skills focused on physics. Each day, students will work on various physics projects and challenges as they explore a topic that expands their knowledge about the skills that go into being a positive and successful leader in the 21st century. Executive functioning skills are the basis for planning, organizing, and following through with all tasks, assignments, and problems inside and out of school, and we use our engaging projects as a way for students to apply and generalize their newly acquired executive function knowledge. Show Biz: Comedy, Tricks & Improv (Rising K-2n​d​, 3r​d​-5t​h ​& 6t​h​-8t​h​)

"Why did the teacher wear sunglasses? Because her students were so bright!" Lighten up your day and have fun while learning how to do live performances in this Xcite Enrichment program. Stage performances and self-expression combined support the development of public speaking skills, creativity, social confidence, and critical thinking. Students will explore expressive avenues as participate in this program. Activities may include:

• Write & Rehearse Skits - Magic Tricks Skits

• Stand Up Comedy Skits - Final Performance on the last day!

• Improv Games

Xcite Enrichment instructors support students with an 8 to 1 student to instructor ratio to provide individualized support while developing new skills. Creativity is limitless and possibilities are endless, take this class as many times as you’d like!

LegoMation: Stop Motion Videos with LEGOS! (Rising K-2n​d​ & 3r​d​-5t​h​)

Instructor Ratio: 8-1 Class Minimum: 8 Class Maximum: 18

Is your child crazy about LEGOS? If so, this class is the perfect choice to add something new to their LEGO experience! Over the course of the session, students will write, film, and direct their own LEGO movie using their newly acquired stop motion animation techniques. Our students are challenged to:

• Create Imaginative LEGO Sets

• Create Storytelling Movie Scripts

• Learn Basic Stop Motion Filming & Editing Techniques & Tools

• Create several Stop Motion Videos

While they bring their creations to life in a short film, they will get to share these with friends and family up to two weeks after the completion of the class. The class is run by the experienced and energetic Instructors from Xcite Enrich, who will work with students at an 8 to 1 ratio to create films, assist with building, and support social interactions. Creativity is limitless and possibilities are endless, take this class as many times as you’d like!

YouTube Sensations: Make a Positive Impact with Videos! (Rising 3r​d​-5t​h ​& 6t​h​-8t​h)

Instructor Ratio: 8-1 Class Minimum: 8 Class Maximum: 18

Want to become the next YouTube superstar? Join us and learn how to write scripts, act, film and edit as you make a positive impact with your creative video ideas! Students will work together to choose their projects which they will share with friends and family up to two weeks after the completion of the class. Some projects may include:

• Writing Scripts

• Creating Documentaries

• Interviewing

• “How to” videos

• Music Videos

• Basic Filming & Editing Techniques

The Escape Classroom Summer Experience ​(Rising 3r​d​-5t​h ​& 6t​h​-8t​h​)

Instructor Ratio: 8-1 Class Minimum: 8 Class Maximum: 12

Evaluate, Solve, and Escape! Xcite Enrich has created an interactive learning experience that supports students in working together to search for clues, solve mysteries and puzzles to unlock the mystery of the day. The structure provides opportunities for students to acquire 21st century learning skills while having fun! Activities and skills may include:

• Problem Solving

• Critical Thinking

• Deductive Reasoning

• Collaboration

• Communication

• Decoding Messages & Locks

• Riddles

• Puzzles

• Scavenger Hunts

Each day, students will solve challenges and apply their new skills as they work towards solving the ultimate Escape Classroom experience. Space is limited to 12 students per class with an 8 to 1 student to instructor ratio.

Brain Power: Executive Functioning Skills! (Rising K-2n​d​, 3r​d​-5t​h ​& 6t​h​-8t​h​)

Brain Power​ ​is a fun, interactive, and activity-based class that utilizes engaging projects and brain-workout games. Students will have a blast learning about the power of their mind’s executive functions while they understand and practice how their brain uses these skills to think critically, stay organized, manage time and obstacles, and maintain focus and attention in their everyday lives. Executive functioning skills are the basis for planning, organizing, and following through with all tasks, assignments, and problems inside and out of school. Strengthening executive functioning skills will certainly make students' lives much easier and prepare them for future academic success! With Xcite’s 8:1 student to instructor ratio, every child will maximize their learning experience. Each class will focus on a different skill and use brain-workout games and challenges to explore the following executive functions:

Xcite's tutoring and executive functioning skill development program teaching students how to master effectiveness to reach their brain’s highest potential and become a strong leader. The Summer Brain Academy teaches students 21st century learning skills and improves performance in all areas so that students can supercharge their brain to apply their new skills and strategies in the upcoming school year. Xcite integrates curriculum from math, reading, and writing through interactive games and exciting brain workouts built based on students grade levels. Games and activities may include:

Creative Builders Series (Rising K-2n​d​ & 3r​ d​-5t​h​)

Creative Builders is a unique, creative, and hands-on technical class for children of any skill level who are interested in building, creating and engineering. Our Instructors will guide students through each project, encouraging creative thinking while developing technical fine motor skills. With Xcite’s 6 to 1 student to instructor ratio, which offers a small group environment with lots of personalized attention. There will be a variety of challenging projects throughout the program. Possible projects include:

Each project will be tailored to the skill level and interests of the students enrolled. Our creative builders really enjoy taking many of their projects and prizes home each class!

Mini Tennis (Rising Pre K-2n​d​)

Xcite Enrichment’s Mini Tennis program is designed to introduce children to fundamental tennis skills through fun and captivating games! Our energetic and experienced coaches from Xcite will bring all the equipment necessary and tailor their instruction to fit the skill level of the class. This class is unique in that it offers a 6 to 1 student to instructor ratio to ensure that each child has the individualized attention needed to hone his or her skills while having a great time.
